External Peer Review of PBGC Office of Inspector General's Quality Control System
In an external peer review of the PBGC Office of Inspector General (OIG) conducted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) OIG, PBGC OIG received the highest possible peer review rating, a rating of "pass." Government Auditing Standards require each audit organization to obtain an external review of its system of quality control every three years and make the results publicly available. The "pass" rating means that the external reviewer determined that our system of quality control was suitably designed and our adherence to this system provided reasonable assurance that we performed work and reported results in accordance with professional standards
